'Virgin Voyager' Class 220, 4-car high-speed Diesel Electric Multiple Unit. Built by BOMBARDIER TRANSPORTATION at Bruges, Belgium, Crespin, France, & at Wakefield in the U.K. for Virgin Trains. No.220001 named "Maiden Voyager" by Sir Richard Branson on December 6th 2000. Trains to be employed on Virgin's X-Country services. The following Class 221, the 'Super Voyagers', will be 4 & 5-car 'tilting units'.
